Almond Milk

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup of soaked organic raw almonds
  • 4 cups pure filtered water
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean extract (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder (optional)

PREPARATION:

  1. Soak almonds in water overnight or for up to two days — the longer you soak the almonds, the creamier the milk will be.
  2. Drain and rinse the almonds, then mix almonds with fresh water in blender or Vitamix.
  3. Strain mixture into a large bowl through a strainer, sprout bag, cheese cloth or kitchen towel.
  4. The water that is left is the almond milk.
  5. You can add cinnamon or vanilla extract to taste.

Use the remaining almond pulp to make an Almond Honey Face Scrub.
